Dropsody

A semi-improvised work inspired by Hugh Le Caine's "Dripsody". The performer uses an iPad to "fling" animated objects around the screen. Bubbles are heard when objects collide.
All sounds are generated using a physical model of bubbles I wrote as a max external based on this paper by Kees van den Doel: www.cs.ubc.ca/~kvdoel/publications/tap05.pdf

Composed in 2015. Premiered at the Music for Sounds concert at the University of Calgary. Performed as part of Kiran Bhumber's Di-Fusion concert at the 2015 Vancouver Jazz Festival.
