About Me

guitar4Naithan Bosse is a composer, guitarist, and music teacher from Vancouver, Canada who writes music for acoustic, electroacoustic, and interactive electronic media.

His research focuses on designing novel forms of human-computer interaction within a musical framework, using digital interfaces such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, kinects, and mobile-phones to give performers control over sonic characteristics of live sound output from a computer. He has been the recipient of several research awards and scholarships including the Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship, UBC Arts Graduate Research Award, and the GSA Professional Development Grant.

Bosse holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of British Columbia (BMus composition/guitar, MMus composition) and is currently pursuing a PhD in composition at the University of Calgary.
